Pay Grade/Pay Range:  Minimum: $16.63 - Midpoint: $19.95 (Hourly N3)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm


Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs routine and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.


Additional Department Summary: Provides the first point of contact for visitors in an office setting and provides a full range of clerical support to The Office of Clinical Experiences administrators including the Director of the OCE. Serves as liaison between the program and other departments or the community including administrators and P12 partners in the field. Supervises students. Collaborates with campus and community partners to ensure quality programming and services in the field with the interns and field experience students placed in varied school systems.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or higher.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to take direction from multiple individuals and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues regarding the placement management system and assessment tools. Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products. Knowledge of database management applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of LiveText, buyBama, Banner, Astra, AiM, and Crimson Catering.
