Job Summary: The Athletic Intern assists in the daily operations of the Athletic Department. Provides practice coverage for assigned sport. Serve as the onsite liaison for student athletes.


Additional Department Summary: Provide comprehensive academic and career counseling to assist student athletes in identifying and meeting their academic goals leading to graduation and career development.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any field, OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills, along with good organizational skills. Basic knowlege in the usage of personal computers, including word processing.


Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in counseling, education, athletic administration, or related area. Experience tutoring college students or working within an academic advising setting. Demonstrated commitment and knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Demonstrated successful experience working with a diverse student population and understanding of multicultural issues.
