Pay Grade/Pay Range:  Minimum: $62,300 - Midpoint: $81,000 (Salaried E10)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; nights and weekends as required


Job Summary: The Action Card Technology Manager provides technical implementation and support for Action Card. Conducts technology research, impact assessment for legalities, feature analysis, industry standards analysis, security analysis, business flow impact analysis for Action Card environment, and recommends new applications, systems, and upgrades. Supervise implementation, installation, and support for Action Card and Dining point-of-sale hardware devices.


Additional Department Summary: Action Card is a campus enterprise level system operating 24X7 with a $1.3 million department budget, processes 8.2 million transactions annually with $22 million dollars in annual Action Card debit card transactions processing including 100+ on and off campus vendor location sales, 13 campus system integrations, and maintains a database of 70,000 cardholders utilizing a broad range of debit, identification, validation, financial and event access services that provide critical daily campus operations for students, faculty, staff and community members. Action Card is also responsible for ID Card Production and identity management verification for 30,000 annually and the Dining Point-of-Sale system processing internal debit accounts as well as $5.3 million in external credit, cash and check transactions. The 70,000 active cardholders consist of students, Faculty/Staff, community cards and special programs.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience; OR High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Ability to work weekends and nights as needed for implementations, upgrades, troubles, campus events and systems operations.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to work within multiple system applications, present to large groups, and handle multi-tasking


Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience preferred. Blackboard Transact certification. Customer Service experience. Must be willing to travel for educational and training opportunities.
