Job Summary: The Academic Partnerships Coordinator supports collaborative partnerships between a college/school with another college/school or external academic partners, such as other universities, colleges, agencies, etc.
Additional Department Summary: Supports two University of Alabama outreach programs. The Strategic Graduate Partnerships initiative (SGPI) involves building academic bridges between University departments and other universities’ programs across Alabama whose students may have an interest in The University’s graduate degrees. The federally funded Alabama LSAMP program supports students in STEM fields at 9 Alabama colleges/universities. Develops and co-directs programs and events for students and faculty. Initiates and facilitates communications. Serves in the lead role for the SGPI Summer Bridge undergraduate research program. Supervises and leads the SGPI support team. Attends recruitment events on behalf of the Graduate School. Reports to the Executive Director of Academic Partnerships
May require some travel, primarily in-state. May require occasional evening or weekend work during particular programs.
The continuation of this position is contingent upon continued grant funding.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Relationship and program building skills. Interest in increasing access to higher education for Alabama students.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate degree. Experience with Concur and Slate. Event planning experience.
