Pay Grade/Pay Range:  Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8)


Department/Organization: 209202 - OTIDE Business Intelligence


Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Data Analyst I gathers, audits, analyzes, and reports low- to moderate-complexity data under general supervision. Ensures data integrity. May perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting to inform decision-making, or design predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities.


Additional Department Summary: Develops and delivers innovative solutions to meet specific goals for OTIDE and provides direct support for UA Teaching Academy. Coordinates with staff, faculty, campus partners, and OTIDE staff in providing data insights to meet the needs of OTIDE. Remains involved in every stage of data analysis, from proposal, development, implementation, to assessment.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some data analysis experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Ability to conduct research and apply findings on best practices and new technologies. Ability to communicate effectively with OTIDE staff, IT staff, University faculty, instructional designers, and campus partners. Knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, JMP, SAS, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAS Visual).


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in academic research and online teaching. Experience with data analysis software (SPSS, JMP, SAS, Python, R, etc.), data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, SAS Visual, etc.), and data collection platforms (Qualtrics, Salesforce, Slate, etc.).
