Pay Grade/Pay Range:  55 Hourly (non-exempt) - Minimum - $ 12.61 Midpoint - $ 18.29


Department/Organization: 207251 - Ctr for Public Television and Radio


Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 to 4:45pm (some nights and weekends)


Job Summary: The Segment Producer researches and produces specific content for use in multi-media programming for broadcast and non-broadcast audiences.


Additional Department Summary: Position serves as a producer of segments utilized in longer form broadcast and non-broadcast programming. The position works closely with external contacts, including clients and interview subjects, and with professional staff and faculty from the University.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience as a researcher, writer, digital content creator, or videographer/editor in a broadcast and/or multimedia production environment; OR Bachelor's degree and one year of experience as a researcher, writer, digital content creator, or videographer/editor in a broadcast and/or multimedia production environment.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with video and editing production equipment is highly desirable. Ability to work independently, strong organizational and time management skills, and demonstrated success in working as part of a creative team are essential.
