Department/Organization: 508111 - Capstone Village Assisted Living


Normal Work Schedule: Varies; Sunday - Saturday 7:00am to 3:00pm, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, 11:00pm to 7:00am


Job Summary: The LPN facilitates quality patient care within the scope of licensure.


Additional Department Summary: This position is a contingent on call position. Provides direct nursing care to residents. Delegates and supervises the care provided by resident assistants. Administers medications. Performs treatments and procedures. Obtains specimens as needed. Completes documentation as required.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Alabama in good standing.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Must successfully complete health screening once post-offer of employment is made.


Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of the Alabama Department of Public Health Rules & Regulations for Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living. Knowledge of Dementia Education, Care and Training (DETA) and dementia in the elderly. Knowledge of the DETA Brain series, pharmacological management of dementia, the Dementia Assessment series provided by DETA, or equivalent training approved by the State Health Officer.


Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or the equivalent. One year of experience working as a licensed practical nurse.
